About This Project

Lola’s Creative Director Rob Harvey designed the prologue sequence for this box office hit.

Based on images from the Hubble and Spitzer space-telescopes, Zeus, Poseidon, Hades and the monstrous Kraken appear as if sculpted from nebula clouds and stars.

Storyboard artist John Kennedy drew the sequence which was then turned into a CG pre-vis by Head of 3D Tim Zaccheo. With a deadline of less than six weeks from brief to delivery, we decided to build a static CG model and use the camera to create the feeling of movement and scale.
